VELO CLUB de VIS - JERSEY
A road club needs to show its colours. Especially a VIS one. Here are details or our past jersey designs. We are no longer taking orders!
2018 - CLUB COLOURS : GEOMETRY, ORDERING & SIZING
Jerseys was ordered through the #LeTourDeVIS SIGN-UP page orders closed on 24th August 2018.
We are on a tight schedule to get the kit made in China and delivered to Germany.
We worked with PRIMAL again to produce a nice geometric design with a ColorBrewer flourish. This one is inspired by Velo Club de VIS founder Jo Wood's Tile Generator examples and Handy library for sketchy rendering.
RACE FIT - these are race jerseys - designed to make you sleek & aerodynamic, so sizing is >>TIGHT<<.
SPORT FIT - these are less sleek & aerodynamic, a little more forgiving, so sizing is more <<RELAXED>>. Women's jerseys are all sport fit, and if you order a Men's jersey and don't specify, I will order sport.
Sizes are described on the Primal Fit-Guide page. Study closely to avoid disappointment / breathing difficulties.
Jerseys cost approx £55 each - short sleeved
Sleeves cost approx £18 per pair - non-thermal, great for cold mornings & evenings, contain pics taken during previous rides and set the jersey off beautifully
Final designs will be made available soon and posted here, but orders are open - feel free to go for it!
Payments are due through PayPal by end of September - see separate e-mail which will be sent to all those who order once we have the necessary numbers confirmed.
We'll only make an order if we hit the Primal minimum. You don't need to ride to order.
Note that we we will not make any money out of this - design and ordering are all being done through volunteering and prices are at cost from PRIMAL plus postage to Germany for collection at the conference.

2017 - CLUB COLOURS with SHI Weili • 石伟力
This is exciting! We have been working with SHI Weili • 石伟力 to use the Shan Shui in the World that featured at the IEEE VIS Arts Exhibition in Baltimore last year as the basis for our jerseys. This is very generous of Weili and we are trying to do this amazing piece justice in lycra.
Jerseys were ordered through the Sign-Up page - orders closed 8th August 2017.
We worked with PRIMAL again to order RACE FIT jerseys once more. These are RACE FIT jerseys designed to make a close sleek fit and so sizing is >>TIGHT<<. It's all described on the Primal Fit-Guide page. Study closely to avoid disappointment.
Jerseys cost £52 each
Sleeves (non-essential in Arizona, though good for sun block) were £17 per pair

We have always needed an argyle jersey ... Wes has come up with a great design for Baltimore ...
We have gone with PRIMAL again and ordered RACE FIT jerseys. Sizing is described on the Primal Fit-Guide page.
Jerseys are £55 each
Arm warmers are £18 per pair
Order both items together at £68 for the complete kit
Invoices to be raised and payments made through PayPal by end of September.
Note that we we will not make any money out of this - design and ordering are all being done through volunteering and prices are at cost minus any sponsorship (no sponsors this year).
We'll have made the target of 20 provisional orders and so made the order with PRIMAL.
2015 - CLUB COLOURS
We are working with Primal who have produced something in club colours from our sketches. We're happy for IEEE VIS folks to order jerseys even if they don't ride - but we do encourage you to participate in one or both of this year's rides!

Jerseys were ordered at the beginning of September for those who signed up on the Le Tour de VIS sign-up page - if you did so then we are now committed to purchase. Payment details will follow. No additional orders can be accepted at this stage.
Pricing will be around $70 payable to the Velo Club through PayPal. Note that we we will not make any money out of this - it's all being done at cost prices. Sizing is described on the Primal Fit-Guide page.
Importantly, these are not winter jerseys, so be prepared to wrap up a bit in Chicago in October - but be sure to show your colours too!
